The summer touch and tackle season is just around the corner - register now for AR's Youth Touch Rugby (ages 5 to 12) and summer tackle rugby programs.

Our youth touch rugby is one of the best and largest in Virginia and we plan to be even better this year. With summer tackle we'll continue our relationship with our friends at Ft. Hunt Rugby to field boys tackle teams at the U15 and U13 levels. We also encourage any girls to come out and give tackle rugby a try. If we don't get enough girls out for a full team we'll help them find teams to play with over the summer.

On March 16, 2013, Alexandria Rugby raised over $2000 for the Center for Alexandria's Children at Daniel O’Connell’s Restaurant. The fundraiser was held during the live broadcast of the RBS 6-Nations Rugby Championships, an annual draw for the local rugby community. Congressman Jim Moran, a former college rugby player himself, led the afternoon raffle and enticed the standing room only crowd to give to the Center for Alexandria’s Children (CAC). Many thanks to all our members and friends who supported AR through this year's 6 Nations and supported the CAC as well. Special thanks to Doug and all the staff at O'Connell's who continue to put up with us and allow us to bug their customers year in and year out. Thanks also to Tom Lally at Alexandria Pastry for the terrific cookies for this year's final day of the fundraiser. Final Tournament Standings

On Sunday, April 7th we'll kick off our 2nd annual Touch Rugby Spring Instructional League at George Washington Middle School. The league is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 12 and will meet Sunday afternoons until early June. To best accommodate our busy Spring schedules the Sunday afternoon sessions will run in the afternoon - probably from 3:30 to 5:00. Exact times will be set as we get closer to the first day.
