All the practices and scrimmages and matches are behind us. Next up is the Rugby Virginia Youth Rugby Tournament, this Saturday, July 31, at Hooes Road Park in Springfield. The kids have had a great season and couldn't be more ready to play for some hardware! Matches will run all day with the U9 Robins and Cardinals likely to get things going right around 9:00am. We're also planning to have a U7 match (or matches) in the morning. Here's some more info:

Alexandria Rugby is again helping the city's Rec. Department organize its adult touch rugby league for Fall of 2010. The league will kick-off again in September. We'll post more info here as the details get hammered out. Have a look at the adult touch page for more info on the league and online registration.

Thanks to all who made it out to GW on Saturday for another great showcase of rubgy for Alexandria. Several terrific matches, a fun social at the Eagles afterwards, and a nightcap at O'Connell's - a great day of rugby!

On May 8, 2010 at the Embassy of France Alexandria Rugby joined the Alexandria Roosters for a wonderful evening of dining, dancing and fun. The 2nd Annual Rugby Ball was fantastic. Great crowd, great food, great entertainment. We can't wait for next year's Ball!

Alexandria Rugby's annual 6 Nations Youth Program Fundraiser wrapped up this past weekend and was a big success. Thanks to everyone who came out to O'Connell's and helped us raise over $2,300 for the kids! We're excited about the upcoming youth season and your generous support will help ensure it's a successful one.
