Alexandria Rugby partners with the City of Alexandria's Department of Parks and Recreation to run an adult, coed touch rugby league. The season runs spring and fall. The league plays Monday evenings on the lighted synthetic turf field at Minnie Howard School.
The games are fast, fun, safe and inclusive. Everyone runs with the ball and everyone can score! This ain't the bruising game you might be thinking of. Touch rugby is a terrific form of exercise and a great social activity. We encourgage all ex-players and interested novices to give it a try.
- Season starts on Monday, April 2, 2012
- Matches played on Monday evenings between 7:00 and 9:00 PM
- Fees: $25 per city resident, $50 per non-resident
- Registration is ongoing. Players can register as individuals or as a complete or partial team. If you are interested in forming your own team please contact league administrator Jill Stober
The pitch is located just off I-395, near Episcopal High School and the major intersection of Braddock Rd., King Street and Quaker Lane.
